‘Taina’ foi ao ar na Nickelodeon por apenas duas temporadas, mas impressionou bastante. Cristina Vidal starred as Taina back in the day, bringing a lot of charisma to the ambitious and warm-hearted character. In the twenty years since, she's been busy representing la communidad in productions as varied as 'Girlfriends,' 'Training Day' (the TV show), and 'Grand Hotel,' not to mention her ill-fated ' United We Fall .' Selenis Leyva
Selenis Leyva appeared in 'Taina' as Titi Rosa, aka the sexy aunt. She's since become a mainstay of Latina representation, appearing in everything from ' Orange Is the New Black ' to ' Diary of a Future President .' Look for her in the upcoming 'Lopez vs. Lopez,' starring none other than community icon George Lopez and his real-life daughter Mayan Lopez. In addition to acting, Leyva is also an outspoken ally of the LGBTQ community. She published the book, ' Minha irmã: como a transição de um irmão mudou nós dois ' sobre sua experiência pessoal.
Manolo Villaverde
Manolo Villaverde had an impressive career before joining 'Taina' as Gregorio 'Abuelo' Sanchez. He'd won an Emmy for his role in ' E aí, EUA? ' a primeira comédia de situação bilíngue nos EUA.
